Urge the Legislature to Reverse Romney's Cuts

On Friday, Governor Romney used his emergency powers to cut $425 million from the state's Fiscal Year 2007 budget.

Romney slashed $5,144,292 in funding for vital Department of Public Health programs.  Among the programs hardest hit are AIDS Treatment and Prevention ($735,000), Universal Immunizations ($428,176), Hospital Operations ($1,000,000), and School Health Services ($300,000).

The legislature can and should take immediate action to maintain the funding of these programs.

Thank you.
